akamai

Your external resources @ Akamai is using the wrong SSL certificate when using Internet Explorer. I've been in contact with [edit: email address removed] with the following issue (last sentence tells you everything you need to know when contating Akamai support about the services you buy from them. You guys should issue a ticket with Akamai.

-----

It's the game provided by Electronic Arts/EA/Origin, Battlefield 4 that apparently uses services from Akamai.

It looks like Internet Explorer is connecting/redirected to different servers than Google Chrome and Firefox (my guess).

Anyhow, by analysing traffic using Wireshark I see a lot of TCP RST due to the "faulty" certificat when using IE11 instead of Chrome/Firefox. When I looked at it a bit closer I noticed that IE11 connects to different akamai-servers than Chrome/FF. My best guess would that Akamai (or EA or Origin or someone else) looks at the "user-agent" and decides what server to use.

Despite that, a23-3-90-217.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com should NOT present the certificate for akamai.net, it should be akamaitechnologies.co

Thanks for great games // anders

Thanks @MrAssange for reporting and @Carbonic for poking 🙂

I've sent this on now and it's being looked into.

    Cheers,
