All progress reset after new patch

Summarize your bug A new patch came out. I went to login and play, and my whole account was reset.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure how to test it, but I was perfectly fine until the new patch was just released.
What happens when the bug occurs? After downloading the new patch just recently, I went to login to origin, and before I went to play a game, I noticed my whole progress was reset. So I didn't go into a game due to I didn't want to restart at rank 0 with nothing thinking it would overwrite whatever progress that had been saved, booted it back up, and was still at rank 0. I don't know what or how this happened.

@jokerpostoak Hey, DICE are looking into this, but it should just be a visual glitch. If you enter a game it should show your progress as normal, it won't be lost.

Thanks for the post, I can see how this would be alarming.

Same with me, glad to here it's only visual.

What about last weeks medals showing up and not resetting to new medals?

Is there another way I can select new medals to go for or is it only from the weekly medals?

@CoiNz1337 Hey, do you have the new medals now? I just tested on my end and they've updated, whereas when I checked earlier this morning before the patch, I was stuck with last week's ones.

I've got one of the same medals I completed last week. Stationary weapon medal in which I complete again...

Used to see this a lot with BF3 and BF4 when the stats server took a dump, It has also happened to me however my rank came back after the stats server came back online again.

Keep an eye out on your rank during the day it should return if not then your best bet is to contact support.

Exact same problem. I am afraid to join a server for a hard stats reset. I was level 50+ now level 0.

Can anyone confirm if this fix is true? I see all my stats at 0 in the game menu and the website. I haven't had a chance to play yet.

@dodgyempire yes it should be fine. As I understand it when you play a match it should query the server again, at which point the server will update your local data.

I had a "minor" version of this bug in that before the update with the new battlepack is had reached level 10 in my assault and support classes. Afterwards it reset it back down to lvl 5?? i still have the weapons unlocked and after a look at the stats on the battlefield site it says i have no xp playing TDM, War pigeons or operations which i played quite a bit of the opening week. On xbox one is this a known bug? or am i a unicorn?

You're just a regular horse, sorry. That said, you really don't want to be a Unicorn when it comes to game bugs. 🙂

It sounds like your downrank is working as intended, it can kick folks back quite a ways, but you should retain unlocks.

There's still some instability with stat tracking, it should eventually sync up. While the stats can be a little confusing, it seems that actual progression, XP and unlocks are being properly recorded.
