Am I able to rent a BF4 Server for PS4 Using my PS3 or do I need a PS4 to do it?

I have not pre-ordered a PS4, but I would like to rent a BF4 Server for PS4 so that the members of my gaming forum can play, am I able to rent a BF4 Server for PS4 Using my PS3 or do I need a PS4?
