"An error was reported from EA online"

Hello. It's the second time i get this error Message, and the last time is was resolved by reinstalling and updating punkbuster.

I have only one soldier so i cant switch. I never played any other BF game except BF4.

This is what i've tried:

-Re-installing punkbuster (using the file in the origin folder)

-Updating punkbuster (using downloaded file from punkbuster webpage)

-Making sure the PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB is running

-Setting origin and BF4 to "run as administrator"

-Loging out and in again in both Origin and Battlelog

Nothing seems to work.

    Please check following workarounds and keep us updated:

     

    For Chrome:

    1. Uninstalling the Plugin then deleting the containing folder placed in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Battlelog Web Plugins
    2. Clear Browsing Data ( Settings/Privacy )
    3. Reinstalling the plugin by logging to Battlelog again
    4. In the search bar typing the following command: chrome://plugins
    5. Checking the box Always allowed for ESN Sonar API and Battlelog Game Launcher
    6. Restarting the Browser
    7. Log back into Battlelog via Origin (Play from Battlefield4 icon )
    8. Join a Server

     

    For Internet Explorer 11

    1. Uninstalling the Plugin then deleting the containing folder placed in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Battlelog Web Plugins
    2. Restart IE 11
    3. From Internet Options/General tab  -> Clear Browsing data -> Delete button
    4. From Security tab, slide the bar to bottom -> Medium Protection
    5. In Trusted Sites -> .battlefield.com should be added along with battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/ and battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/
    6. It will require a System Restart in order for the 7 step to be applied.
    7. Log in again into Battlelog and download again the plugin.
    8. Join a server.

    I followed these steps and it did not work for me.  However, with slight modifcations it worked.  Uninstall the plugin as described. Reboot. Yes, reboot I know its annoying.  Then install the plugin as admin.  Go into chrome settings and confirm always on as described.  Reboot yet again.  Run Bf4 shortcut as admin and cross your fingers.  Might be worth double triple checking punkbuster is up to date as well.  See if you can load into the test range and then try a multi match if push comes to shove

  • I fixed this problem in firefox (33.0) by setting the battlelog plugic to 'awlays activate' rather than 'ask to activate'.

    I also had to 'go online' in origin after restarting it.
