Battlefield 1 - crash - no error message/has stopped working
Battlefield 1 crash - no error message - a workaround
Heya guys,
The most annoying and criptic issues - BF1 crashes with most of the Ryzen 5 processors and with a combo of a GTX 1060
Besides having this issue on the Multiplayer (i thought that might be a serverside issue or something related to that), i also had this issue in the Singleplayer campaign mode.
I've been doing allot of digging regarding this issue, and i came across a tiny advice, to set up the RAM frequency from default value (or whatever value you currently have) to 2133mhz.
Before this i've also tried ALL the possible troubleshooting regarding reparing the game, updating the drivers, etc. and they did not work, so i figured what the hell...
I restarted my PC, went to BIOS and changed the frequency to the value mentioned above.
I took the game for a test run and it worked fine and it still does.
I REALLY hope that... (the overlord) EA could fix this... SOON, as from what i can tell from the REDITT posts... and from this EA ANSWERS HQ, all Ryzen users are having this issue.
BTW, i also attached my DXDIAG file.
Hope this helps, and guys please keep me posted about further updates... just don't screw up the BIOS settings that much, mkai ?
There was another update after 1803, a small quality update KB4284835.
See if you have that update installed - settings / Update & Security / View Update History
If so, try uninstalling that update and see if it helps.
