How can I find out about my Motherboard and if I have such a plugin to desable?
Please try a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Let us know if you can play while booted in this 'clean' mode
Thanks for posting!

Shoutout to Fivecorr in the forums for this fix! It worked for me, don't know if it's a Reliable fix though
Had the same problem. I reset my network connection.
Start cmd as admin and enter those two codes:
netsh int ip reset c:/log.txt
netsh winsock reset
Restart your PC and bf1 might work. I hope this help some of you - 9 years ago
Hello. MSI GT72s here. I have the SAME problem. Video Card is nVidia 980m. This is just to say that I do not have that Sonic thing other customers are reporting.
I have tried everything so far, and every advice given in this thread. including the partial reboot suggested by EA_Barry. No luck so far. As usual, the game was working wonderfully in beta.
Attached is my DxDiag. Any help, or progress on EA's side to find a solution or a cause? This is so depressing!

The steps posted before you by @SirWafflezIVth are relatively easy and quick to do and are worth trying.

I tried the clean boot and it didn't fix the problem for me. I have been crashing a lot more since the game update yesterday. With Clean boot at least the crashes are back to desktop instead of what was happening before of complete freeze of the PC requiring a hard restart/power off (using the physical buttons to restart or shutdown the PC). It still crashes when loading into a server or when map changes and sometimes mid round. I have not been able to play a full round of conquest since the the update.
Before the update I was still experiencing crashes but they were not as common. I also had no problems playing the Beta or the Alpha for that mater.
Things that I have tried to fix it in no particular order:
Repair the game (twice ) once with Origin having admin privileges.
Updated Nvidia Drivers.
Uninstalled Geforce Experience and Nvidia Drivers and reinstalled.
Uninstalled BF1 and reinstalled on a different drive.
Reset network (IP & winsock even though I don't think it is network related)
Uninstalled Asus Sonic plugins (I don't use my onboard sound anyway since I have USB headset)
Clean Boot with only Microsoft services enabled
Restarted router & modem (even though I don't think it is network related)
Added user.cfg to set max FPS to match my monitor and set max frames render ahead frames to 1
Changed Nvidia settings to max frames rendered ahead to 1
Disabled Shadow Play ("Nvidia Sharing")
Common symptoms are 100% CPU usage
My system specs:
Windows 10
i7 6700k
Asus Maximus VIII Formula mb
850W PSU
Geforce 980ti
32Gb DDR4 (3200hz)
250Gb SSD (windows)
250Gb SSD (games... had old BF1 install on it)
5Tb HDD ( media... has new BF1 install)
Monitor 1440p at 165hz
BF1 video settings are all set to low or off except for Mesh Quality set to ultra, resolution 100% UI scaling factor 50%
