Battlefield 1 download button in EA App is greyed-out
I have had a problem with the greyed-out Battlefield 1 download button for a long time. I got the game through an Amazon Prime giveaway back in July 2021. Since then, without any problems, I played it on Origin until EA App replaced it. As you can see on the screenshot it said "Your trial has ended. Buy the game or join EA Play Pro to keep playing.". I think it is because I have had an EA Play subscription in the past (also for free), i.e. after moving the library from Origin, EA App probably took a wrong edition of a BF1. Also, it is said I own only a Standard Edition of a game, but I have a full game, 4 DLCs and a Premium Pass.
I have contacted EA Support dozen times (they give recommendations and something on their side, I try, but the problem persists), reinstalled the EA App, cleared the cache, moved game directories to different drives - the result is always the same... the download button is greyed-out. Has anyone experienced this problem or seen a similar post? Or is there a particular person at EA I could contact to resolve the issue? Because every time I have contacted them there is another EA advisor the next day that gives the same recommendations and it's Groundhog Day all over again.
PS: I would be happy to finally solve this problem. Or in the end, is it just a matter of waiting for the EA App to be updated and that problem will go away by itself? But it's been half a year since it started...
- Hi @TheAnk3r I'd guess the problem is down to the trial status, that's been reported by a few people in the past. This is something EA Help will need to resolve for you though I'm afraid, as it's not an issue which people on the forums can fix. It might be worth opening a ticket solely about the trial status and take it from there.
