Battlefield 1 freezes my PC constantly (not playable)
So I recently start playing BF1 and it freezes my pc completely all the time no matter if i play singleplayer or multiplayer.
It happens in menus, in loading scree, in middle of the play, simply it's unbearable. The game freezes - screen freezes, music continues some few seconds then stops, then i can't do anything except hard-reset from button. This is occurring on 30min-1hour...depends..
My config:
Windows 8.1 (fully updated)
Intel i7 4770
32gb Kingston Savage ram ddr3 1600mhz
GTX 770 ti DX11
SSD Samsung
Gigabyte MB Z87X-UD3H (Latest BIOS)
I tried almost everything "in the book":
- Changed graphic settings in game settings from auto, to max, to min (doesn't change a thing in the freezings)
- Already have latest drivers GPU, latest windows update, Origin and BF up to date
- Changed and disabled from the nvidia drivers menu some things like Antialising to OFF and GPU to "Maximum performance" instead of "Balanced
- Tried running the game as admin
- Tried windowed / full screen (it does not change a thing)
- Used optimize option from nvidia control panel
- I`m monitoring my cpu/gpu temperature and never exceedes 60 for cpu / 80 for gpu (which is totally in the safety range)
So as you see i tried everything and i`m sick and tired of doing anything else as I don't see a solution.
My DxDIag is attached.
Please help.
Thank you for the offered help guys.
I have found a solution and probably everyone that have the same problem as I do (with nvidia) this might help you. First, as I suspected that problem was in the game itself or the (Nvidia drivers ?) and it came up i was right.
What i've tried and didn't work:
- Preciously I did everything in fine tuning in-game and windows options - to troubleshoot the problem (anything that might come up on your mind). Nothing worked
- Then I tried removing all hardware things that might cause the problem (I just unplugged any unnecessary plugs into usb, such as headphones, wireless mouse, TV (from the HDMI slot) etc..). Nothing worked
- I also reinstalled nvidia drviers, added windows 8.1 all optional updates, update all cpu/mb drivers to latest. That also didn't work
Finally the SOLUTION it self was the nvidia HOTFIX (and how to apply):
- I have reinstalled the drivers using this software (very simple to use): http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
- And the most important thing, the NVIDIA HOTFIX driver link: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4293
I really hope that this will help you guys
