Battlefield 1 Keeps Randomly Freezing for 1-2 Seconds

When I play Battlefield 1, the game randomly freezes for 1-2 seconds. I have tried changing anything graphically that could be relevant to this issue. Nothing seems to work. This issue started after the recent EA anticheat update. My network is not the issue, either. GTA V, COD, PUBG, Fornite, etc all play multiplayer perfectly. The download speed is typically around 1 Gbps, and the upload speed is typically 700 Mbps. My PC specs are also not the issue:

CPU: i7-11700F

GPU: ASUS Dual RTX 4070

RAM: 32 GB Corsair 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM

PSU: 850 Watt Corsair RM850X

MOBO: ASUS Prime B560 M-A

Temps on the CPU and GPU are around 50C and 40C, respectively, under load in the game.

I'm on Windows 11, the most recent update, but it was doing this before the recent Windows update. All drivers are up to date, and the game was still doing this before these newer drivers. The time this issue started was only after the recent EA anticheat update.

I've included an example of the freezing/stuttering I'm experiencing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FM8JaLAIHGI. This keeps randomly happening throughout every game. It doesn't matter where I am or what I'm looking at, it just keeps doing this randomly.

Does anyone have any idea of a fix for this issue?

  • Imagine how bad are you at coding that a guy with a top build like that gets this type of stuttering.

    Shame on you, EA/dice.

  • @SilentWaffle23 same, my pc has i5 10400f and rtx 4060, I run bf1 on ultra settings and it works okay until it freezes for 1 second, all my drivers, and windows updates are up to date, cpu and gpu are chilling at around 60% load and my fps is about 110-170 fps(before anticheat update my lowest fps was about 130~) and now graphic settings doesn't even influence my fps, before anticheat update I could drop settings to low and it gave me stable 180 fps(I have a 180hz monitor)

The recent EA anticheat update likely caused the random freezes in Battlefield 1. Try reporting the issue to EA Support, disabling antivirus/overlay programs, repairing the game installation, and checking for community solutions. If problems persist, consider reinstalling the game as a last resort.
