Battlefield 1 Multiplayer Freezes My Whole Pc Please Help !!

Good Day,

I have been playing battlefield 1 multiplayer for about 60 hours without issues ,but now the last 2 weeks I have been getting these complete freezes that freezes my whole pc and the game. I am unable to do anything even alt + f4 does nothing the only option is to force restart my pc everytime this happens. The freezes also doesn't go away like if it freezes then if I wait like 30 min nothing happens sometimes you can still hear sound while its is frozen. I am really annoyed at this issue as I really like playing the game and it always seems to happen at the worst possible time while playing. The freezes are random sometimes I can play for a few day without any freeze the suddenly 1 day I will get a few within a couple hours of game play. I recently reinstalled windows on my pc when I started to have the issue and I verified all the game files ,but still no luck. Then I upgraded my motherboard bios and check all the drivers also checked that I have the latest nvidia driver for my GPU. The only other thing I can think of is maybe my internet connection can cause this as I am located in South Africa and I am playing on European servers. I am really frustrated about this issue so now I have turned to you guys here on this forum to maybe help me out. I have tried everything I can possibly think of and still no luck here is my pc specs:

i7 6700k skylake cpu

Asus Z170 Premium Motherboard

Gtx 1070 Galax hall of fame edition

Corsair RM 850w power supply

Corsair H110i 280mm watercooler

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

ps I have removed all overclocks on Graphics card and cpu just to be sure.

  • Hello @EA_Archi I think you have solved my problem I have played for about 6 hours and no freeze. I think by uninstalling and re downloading the game and installing it again fix my issue. Just wanted to keep you up to date on whats happening so far.

    Kind Regards

    Django

Hello @WOLF_DJANGO and thank you for such a detailed report.

I would advise to completely reinstall both Origin client and Battlefield 1 after all the Windows reinstall. If after this the issue persist, I would suggest to use our troubleshooting steps from our article on connection issues

    Keep me posted,

    Cheers,
    Archi

Thank you @WOLF_DJANGO for posting about this. And I am glad to know you can enjoy the game now. Windows update usually messes your software, so I always prefer to do the fresh install for everything with the new OS.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Cheers,

    Archi
