Battlefield 1: Procedure for Changing Xbox One Controller Button Layout on PC

How do I change change the plane controls in Battlefield 1 for PC? I specifically want to invert the pitch up/down while using a Xbox One controller on my PC. I cannot figure out how this is done, but other users state that it can. I have been playing the one-player campaign and I don't see how to change the button layout for a controller (or keyboard/mouse for that matter).

Step 1: You open the option, go to the Control tab and then to the Gamepad control configuration tab.
Step 2: Set all of them (Which you want) to Custom,
for example 2 buttons (soldier / rifleman) ".
Step 3: Leave this option and go to the Key assignment tab in Option. Now you can freely assign your buttons under the Gamepad tab wherever you have selected Custom.

The mirror vertical flight option can be found under option control tab first page.

@x--Fusi--x Thank you very much for your explanation. That worked fine, though I did discover that it seems you cannot make changes to the settings with just the Xbox controller. But the mouse did allow me to make the adjustments I wanted so that I could fly the plane better. Thanks again!
