Battlefield 1 Random Crashes (PC)

I have recently returned to Battlefield 1 but every single time I start the game it freezes randomly, as during the match or when it just started. I have tried every solution i could find, as i am not using Dx12, disabled origin in game and have the latest drivers and windows, repaired the game and even uninstalled it, ran as an admin and it still freezes my PC to the point that i have to turn it off, cant even open the task manager. I really need some help.

At one time, when I was playing, the game and my PC froze as a tank machinegun was fired. This happened twice but never happened again

I am running at medium settings, window mode or fullscreen, both still crash. I have a (not overclocked) i5-4460, GTX 970 with latest drivers and 8GB ram. I dont have any crash logs since it just freezes the whole pc, I dont know if its a hardware issue and how do i fix this. Please help!

Edit: Every other game including BF4 runs fine with no crashing

Have you had the chance to try starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to see if that helps? If these crashes are connected to anything else running on the PC that might help to narrow it down.

For more details on how to set up a Clean Boot check out the EA Help website. Once you've had the chance to give it a shot please let me know how it goes. Thank you!

  • I suspected the crash was caused because of hardware issues, after i opened my PC, switched the RAM slots, and then applied a new layer of paste on my processor have solved my problem, and no more crashes. So i suspect this was all caused by some overheating or RAM issue.

    Thanks for the help!
