Personally, I never change my Brightness, It always is 50% by default. On which maps do you have the issue, specific places? Have you tried to reset your settings by deleting PROFSAVE_profile file in Documents>>Battlefield 1>>Settings.

I normally have problem in Argon Forest, Fort Vaux (?), Nevile Nights?, sorry I'm very new in this stuff.
I will try resetting everything to default, and report back the result.
