battlefield 1 steam-EA server connection faulty
Hello EA-support,
like a lot of other players i have trouble with the ea servers. i have tried nearly any option you are explaining. the only thing i have yet not done is open up the router ports (i live with my family and have no data about our isp. except that its EWE (german)).
However I believe that i have different problems. I have bought the Battlefield 1 Revolution game on steam. and was quite excited about it. still, when i started the game i was greeted by the game telling me i was offline, which i wasn't. Atleast not until i started the game, because somehow origin or bf managed to disconnect my entire internet connection of my computer.
A first timer for me, even though i have 30 hours playtime in battlefield 4. without any problems that is, nor a high ping or connection issues overall (i bought bf4 on origin).
Besides that, this disconnecting my wifi connection isnt even my biggest problem, since after i managed to establish my connection again and get into the online mode of bf1 i started the matchmaking for a grand operation. So far everything seemed to work normal, i got into the loading screen and it even started the cutscene for the operation. But here comes the Problem at any point during that loading phase (i tried it multiple times), i get a black screen with the loading symbol in the top right corner and i get sent back into the main menu with an error message saying; "connection to session lost" (i have a screenrecording of it but i cant upload it here). Sometimes it even disconnected my entire wifi connection afterwards again.
Sometimes however i got lucky and it actually loaded me into the game. then i would either get kicked out of it during the deployment phase (all the blue and red dots stop moving and back to the menu i go) i could manage to deploy and have a freeze frame right when spawning and get kicked then. Or in very rare occasions i would even be able to play the game, with a ping of around 120ms-5000ms and a decent amount of lagging back and forth, left and right. which, obviously made the game quite unplayable.
As i said before bf4 has run perfectly before on the same pc, connection, hardware, location. so i believe the issues lie within the steam-EA connection.
Now you might say, hm. No problem, refund it on steam and buy it in origin. Not even a bad idea i tried it, however according to steam i have played BF1 for nine hours now, of which i spent 2 hours playing a laggy game (according to origin) and 7 hours trying to fix said laggy game.
Any help will be appreciated. i hope this issue will be fixed soon.
