Good evening, after the last update the game experiences constant fps drops and stuttering, especially when aiming, this did not happen before the update, I tried to play closing everything, msi afterburner and other programs in the background and it remains the same.
my pc is an i5 7600
msi rx 480 gaming x 8gb gpu
16 gb ram
Same thing happening to both rigs of mine with both BF1 and BFV, FPS are fine, but I have up to 2-3secs video freeze with sound playing as normal, with CPU spikes from EA Anticheat. Both pc's with nvme drives.
Specs PC1: Xeon 2697v3 - RTX 3070 - 128GB DDR4
PC2: Ryzen 5900X - 3080Ti - 64GB DDR4
I was inclined to believe that cause the xeon is an old cpu, there is an incompatibility with the new anti cheat, but this happening on AM4 cpus as well is unacceptable. Please fix.
What a sorry state of affairs. BF1 and FIFA is downright unplayable on PC at the moment. No proper communication from EA. What the * is going on?

@VoltorReaperIt’s so bad frame drops to 40s and game sound is going off like it is almost gonna crash but fixes itself. REVERT BACK THE ANTI CHEAT EA
Same settings, went from 50 low (multiple explosions) - 67 fps high (30% of the time no frame drops at all capped at 67) to now:
0-8 fps (complete freeze stutter for 3-5 seconds happens atleast once every minute) - 50 ish fps
Guys, I turned on the nvidia statistic overlay, and I noticed that while the CPU is running at 99%, the GPU varies between 20-40% and drops to 0-1% during lag / freezes. Does this happen to anyone, has anyone noticed this?
Yes! My game freezes randomly and then i hear what soudns like the GPU powering down (fans and all). When it unfreezes, the GPU ramps back up. I've also had my RGB lighting power off during this once. Very strange. Thought it was just me.
Come on EA wake up please..
I've ben playing this game since 2016. Never had any issue with performance whatsoever until the anti-cheat update.
It is unplayable now due the stuttering.
In the game I have huge peaks of 'extr offset' every time the game stutters or freezes for a sec (see picture)

Pay attention to the graph the next time you experience a micro-freeze. If the Extr Offset line spikes during the freeze, you'll know you're suffering from this specific disk usage problem. Disabling non-Microsoft services should clear things up and get you back to smooth gaming.
And guess which service is a in the list of these WIndows services... 'anticheat'.
It is also exactly the same stuttering when playing single player by the way. Even with very low graphics settings.
The anti-cheat is always running and seems to be causing this disk memory leak.
Stopping anti-cheat service kills the game so no option for that.
Come on EA. I only play 1 game, it is my guilty pleasure after work. Don't ruin this please.

You are very right. I just noticed that. In one point ~~12ms, then suddenly it's 0% GPU and 800ms for "xtra offset".
However, turning off several of "non-essencial" services didnt solve the problem to me. Seems like it got a bit better. But the problem persists.
