Hi @Busseyboy012 and @petetruly,
Please make sure your computer meets the Requirements to Run Battlefield 1.
If you need help checking that, please Post your DXDIAG report.
Also make sure your computer is completely up to date. Check your operating system and device, especially graphics card, drivers.
You can also see if another program or application is interfering with BF1 by doing a Clean Boot. then trying to run the game.

All my drivers are up to date and my specs are all above the recommended requirements. I tried the clean boot and that didn't work either. Any other thoughts?

If you find the Self-Help procedures we need to follow distasteful, please use the official tech support on Help Center.

Same answer. It is a SELF-help website.

Same as the other two, no data, so no way to assist. If Self-Help procedures are distasteful to you, then please seek help from the official tech support on Help Center.
Three days later (edited), we finally have a much-delayed response from one of the first pair, @Busseyboy012, who is trying to run this with an out of date version of Windows 7, that has not had the required Service Pack installed for it.
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)
