Can you give some more information about the problem and what you've tried so far to fix it? A screenshot or video of what is happening may help too. Someone here might be able to give you some information or advice.

And I tried:

• Restarting pc
• Updating windows/drivers (even the ones on C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 1\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist)
• Disabling Antivirus
• Admin steam/EA + both
• Reinstalling the game 3 times
• Verifying game files
• Reinstalling EA

Nothing works

Same problem here. when the game fails, I receive a message telling me to repair the game download, but I've tried a lot of times, a lot of other things and nothing works

Same thing happening to Battlefield 4. Guess the problem is not just the game 

Some people said that by using "frosty fix" they were able to solve the problem, but I tried that either, and it didn't help at all

I keep seeing how people are just reporting the same issue with different topic names on this forum and there is no fix or support from developers.

I installed the game and pressed play. It was like in the reddit link you sent, there are many solution suggestions on the internet. But I mentioned that it is ridiculous to have this problem. If you have a definitive solution, you can share it with me. If it doesn't work, I will delete the game never to play it again, because as I mentioned before, it is complete nonsense for a huge company to make a game that does not open. I am Turkish and I use Google Translate to communicate in the forum. I hope you understand me.

No worries, everything is understandable, I´ll do the same. I have over 20 min on the game, and it´s only for launching it and doing nothing.
