If I were you, I would contact the retailer because of the missing disk (s). I don't think EA can help with it because CDs isn't their "way" now. However, you could try contact an advisor for a digital copy of the BF Vietnam.
I looked up an image of the disks to have an idea of how many disks it comes and for my surprise it showed 8 disks! (In which matches the set I have- I don't have the complete collection but I have both games games and both games came with 4 disks).

P.S. if you wish to have a digital copy of the BF 1942 you can redeem the serial code in origin ( It worked for me at least)

If you are having issues with BF 1942 that doesnt start I suggest to you to go to this website:
I used the same patch and it worked (for BF 1942 again)
P.S. be aware that the digital copy of BF 1942 DOES NOT include the DLCs (unhappily)
For BF Vietnam, you are gonna probably need to ask for a refund, or ask for another one, but if you have the time, you could try uninstall it and re-install it again (maybe you mixed the order up - I don't know)
