Battlefield 1942 Launch Issues
Whenever I try to launch Battlefield 1942 the game crashes. I tried EA's suggested solution (run as administrator, turn off anti-virus software) but it did not work.
What can I do?

Try setting the compatibility mode for Battlefield 1942 to Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (or 2) by right-clicking on the program icon and selecting properties and then goint to the Compatibility tab.
