Battlefield 1943 cannot be started on ps3

I have the Battlefield 1943 demo version on my ps3 and I just tried it for the first time today.

When I got into the menu and tried to start a match, I typed my login info in and then an error screen said it cannot connect to the EA servers. I cannot do anything in the menu without logging in and it says this error every single time. Also my Internet connection is all good.

It annoys me because this game was said to be good and I don't want a 0% in my trophies list
