Battlefield 2 - Steam key activation

Hello everyone,

Is it still possible to activate a valid product key of Battlefield 2 on Steam? I'm looking into buying it if its possible to add it on Steam (3rd party seller).

Any relevant information is more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

Found out it's not possible, you can only get the game on Steam if somebody has it as a gift.
