Battlefield 2 Bad Company - cannot access all content

I'm  not sure why EA will not give me a code  to re-install content from a game I purchased in 2010 ( Battlefield 2 Bad Company - ( the 'store' inside of the game tells me I need a 'VIP ' code to enter to download content)) ? I paid for the content  in  2010, yes, 2010, 12 years ago... The chat support tech said I would need to contact the retailer I bought the game from to get the code. He said EA does not provide game codes which was not true in 2010. I have the disc but not the sleeve which contained the code I need to access certain game content. I would think EA could validate that I have had access to this content previously... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Bought around 2014 I think, the game disappeared from my account and no one is helping, Funny enough it tells me I still own the Vietnam DLC, but not the original game.
    My account name was changed to random letters, last time logged in when this thing was called Origin.

    Does EA really make you loose games that you paid for? I was already hesistant to be buying any new EA games but if this won't be solved I will never buy another EA game in my lifetime.
