Battlefield 2 Origin / Steam

Hi
Would it be possible for you to start selling BF2 on Origin, or Steam? Just anywhere! I have lost my copy and want to buy it digitally. Don't really care if it gets updated or not, just want to get my hands on it!

Btw, you should look back at what made that game fun, for coming Battlefield games! 😉

  • Hello @flygandeapan33!

First off, let me start by saying welcome to EA’s “Answer HQ”.
Answer HQ isn't just an ordinary message board or support center. It's a new approach to our community experience and a fun way of helping other players or to get answers (from players & experts)and get back in the game!

The FB2 game was removed from Origin on June 30, 2014 & ain't coming back!

    See here: https://www.ea.com/service-updates/a-h

Note, there is a strong FB2 community revival at Gameranger. You can download & play FB2 with other players via Gameranger (google is your friend).

This game can be played offline against bots (single player mode) so EA could still sell this game as without online services

same, i think it's much better than encouraging people to go to 3rd party sites that might contain malware, even if bf2 multiplayer is broken oob its still better to allow people to at least get to the stage of getting the game, rather than relying on support from sites that are not related to ea, i mean i am not even thinking about playing it online, as long as it works on pc, and it probably will for forseable future i think its very strange that classic hit games just get abandoned for the sake of not supporting them, even if there is no support its still better than downloading a pirated copy that has a virus and then calling ea to fix their broken pc. at least ea can still say that online is not supported which is fine.
