I got Battlefield 2142 back in 2006, I want to play it again so I tried entering the CD Key onto Origin but it's not valid, what can I do?

I have the same problem.
The problem is that I have the original dvd and the dvd record dont play it...the dvd is old and have some scratches for use.
But.if we put the original dvd serial, origin dont take it. Theres no way to us tu give the serial and ea chnge it for a digital one? Its no point of buy again the same game.
