battlefield 2142 on windows 7
why is there no compatibility on windows 7 for battlefield 2142 when all other bf games work fine...if there is a work around what would it be thanks a fustrated bf player

I just bought BF 2142 deluxe edition as a digital download on EA's site.
I am running the game on Win7 64 bits.
As soon as I start a game, on any map, iBF 2142 crashes to the desktop.
I was able to play only on the Suez Canal map, and that was for 5-10 seconds, tops.
I launch the game with the parameter "+widescreen 1" to enable 1920x1080 resolution.
But even at 800x600, I have the same result: crash to desktop.
I downloaded the latest drivers for my GeForce GTX 560 Ti (version 310.90).
Same result. I have an Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.4Gz, with 16 Gigs of RAM.
Can someone help? Or I will have to ask for a refund, since I can't play this game.
