[Battlefield 2142] When will EA make Battlefield 2142 available to download with an existing code?

I own Battlefield 2142. I don't have a working DVD drive. I'd like to use Origin, along the lines of -cough-BLIZZARD-cough- to input my CD Key and play again. For some reason, Origin doesn't like anything released pre-2009. Probably a DRM thing, but I'll save the editorial commentary for blogging. In short, when will EA make Battlefield 2142 available for those of us who can't use our DVDs anymore?
