Have you checked the integrity of your harddrive with the build in Windows tool? and do it report errors when run?

Did the first one, loading the game now to see if there is a difference. Doing the second one as i type this. And ugh..game is 30+ gigs.. It'll take a day and a half.. Suppose it's worth it..
