Battlefield 4 - disappearing sound HDMI

Hello.

I am experiencing a strange problem. During gameplay everything seems to be fine however a strange phenomenon occurs. Audio is randomly going down. Sometimes it happens after 2 minutes and sometimes after 30 minutes.

I have tested it already, and during BF4 is running all sound apps ( including windows ) are just fine. I can even play music during not having sound at all in BF4.

It is not relevant but I will list my specs anyway.

Core i5 2500k 3,3 GHz @ 4,5 GHz

ASUS GTX 670 Direct CU II

8 GB of RAM

Win 8.1 Pro

If any additional information is necessary just ask away.

Cheers.

I've done everything you said before already, but you gave me a hint.

I have found out it might be releated to a pre-HDMI config. I have began to use my HDMI audio output just recently and it could be releated to a config file in "My documents" directory. I deleted the entire folder "Battlefield 4" and I let the game decide what new settings should be. I assume it could he been due to an old line in config file I am using motherboard's sound card instead of my monitor's one. I am testing it now. So far I am in-game for 40 minutes and sound works flawlessly. I am using LG IPS 225. I will let you know if it has fixed my issue ( I hope it did, because it's very annoying being forced to restart the game in order to get the sound back.

  • Hello

    Try to make such actions:

If you have sound coming from the graphics card, then reinstall the driver for your video card.

If you have a sound card, then reinstall the driver for it.

Check for the presence of fresh Windows updates.

If you have Windows 64-bit, then select the appropriate item in origin. http://i.imgur.com/bFKCx3A.png

    Reinstall the game.

If my advice has helped you, then do not forget to click XP.😕mileyhappy:

    Good luck
