  • Hi Orangesaft77 if not done yet try this to help get FPS up with Direct x . If you want my steps to rule out windows making the issue let me know and I will post them. I hope this helps you.

    Run the game as Administrator:
    Go to the Origin games folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4) and find Bf4.exe. Right click it and go to PROPERTIES, then COMPATIBILITY and check the box next to RUN THIS PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR.
    Do the same with BF4_x86.exe as well.

    Run Origin as Administrator:
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and right click on Origin.exe and go to properties. Then go to compatibility tab and check the box next to RUN AS ADMIN.

    Disable Origin in game:
    In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

    ===============================================================

    Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
    Origin, settings, General

    ==========================================================

    In game video settings turn off weapon DOF if off try on

    If this still fails to fix it you could try this

    BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues.

    1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop or trash.
    2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF4
    4- When done go test your game.

  • Sadly nothing changed.

    Reinstalled,repaired,updated - nothing.Still the same lag spikes.

    Sorry was hoping it would help you :/ Your video looks like when I try and play BF4 on my spare game box / laptop same thing ATI cards in it, I fully hate ATI cards to many issues w/ the drivers :/ And with all the Mantle issues going on  meh not good you guys need a full fix fast.

    The only other things I can think to try is turn off any extra  programs running one at a time and test BF4 w/ each one. Its a very off chance but still worth looking at. As well as testing windows to make sure its not helping make the issue. My steps for it are easy and if it finds any errors it will try and fix them and if it cant fix then all you just reboot and run it again until you get 2 x error free. All of this is just to rule out its not something on the PC killing your game time. Fully your choice if you want the steps for windows just let me know as I dont want to give you a wall of text as it was called yesterday lol... unless you want it :]

    you could always attempt to turn down graphics (if possible) i do not have pc version but i know that when i use minecraft i have to turn down settings so it runs more smoothly.
