Thanks for letting me know. I tried running the game from Internet Explorer 11 but it still insists on my installing the chrome plug-in - so I guess it won't work unless I make the other browser the Windows default. I'll have to wait until the update goes through - I can't change things around each time I run the one game.

Yes changing your default browser will fix it, but IE is dying and firefox takes just as many resources as the BF4 game does.

Keep in mind NPAPI is being discontinued for a reason and you should use newer methods when they become available
