Battlefield 4 1.15 update Bug for PS3

Delete all corrupt files in the game data utility folder first

Jbarran please stop saying 100% because it is definitely not working for 100% of us. Some of us have been out of battlefield for 6 days now with no response or reason behind it. I'm very close to snapping my CD in half and never purchasing from EA or dice again

Guys try deleting your corrupt data and instead of launching game highlight your disk without launching press triangle and "check for update" update this way. I'm trying to find original post this was not my solution, but so glad it worked for me.

Okay so last night I tried it and for me it worked. This method can only be done with a copy of the game on disc. Digital downloads probably will not work since there generally is no base code or something.

Also please note that this method will require a COMPLETE REINSTALL OF ALL CONTENT.

PS3 ONLY

Step 1. Under "Game Data Utility", go to BF4 and delete the game data. Step 2. Insert the BF4 game disc but do NOT start the game. Step 3. Scroll to the BF4 game on the XMB and hit Triangle to bring up the side menu. Step 4. Scroll down and select "Check For Update" Step 5. The system will state that Version 1.15 has been found and needs to be installed. Step 6. Install version 1.15. Step 7. After patch 1.15 has installed start up BF4. Step 8. The system will state the system will install the game data needed. Step 9. Install the core game data. Step 10. Go to the main menu of BF4 and welcome back, KINDA. Step 11. Exit the game and go to "Account Management" under "PSN" on the XMB. Step 12. Scroll down to "Download List" and redownload all BF4 related content that you have previously downloaded. * Step 13. Wait for each DLC to finish downloading and reinstall them. Step 14. Load BF4 back up and enjoy :D

*I recommend selecting download in background for the DLC and install each one when it has finished downloading. Also downloads will pause when playing any game with Online functions even if you are not playing online.

It took me about 5 hours to complete this but I am finally able to play the new maps. Also you will notice random new Gold Battlepacks. I suspect these are from several patches again when Dice Devs stated that they have made it where every time you Service Star a class (kit) you will now receive a gold battlepack. They must have been nice and the game actually gave a pack for each SS from day 1. I got almost 100 battlepacks and finally got my Hot Dog Dog Tag.
