Try disabling the compatibility mode from the 64 bit launcher and launch from there, worked for me with 2x5850 was getting 30fps outdoors and 45-50 indoors even on low. Now its all back to normal. After searching everywhere for a fix to no avail then by chance (desperation) I selected properties and noticed its enabled on default for some reason. This worked the compatibility mode must play funny bugger's with some crossfire setups.
CPU: i5 750 oc 3.2
GPU: 2x 5850 1GB
8 GB ram
p7p55d-e pro MB
I recommend disabling crossfire completely and run with a single card.
I'm using a single 7970 and averaging about 50-60fps second.
