I thought the full text of the error may be helpful:
DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed. "). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280", Driver: 33182
Please try turning off Ambient Occlusion, as suggested by @lxgfusionfoe before (thanks!) over here:
- Right click on desktop-> Nvidia Control panel
- From 3D Settings go to Manage 3D settings
- In the Global Settings tab, set the Ambient occlusion to Off
- In the Program Settings tab, set the Ambient occlusion to Off
Nvidia Control panel -> SETTING AMBIENT OCCULSION OFF DOES NOT FIX IT.
Nor does Beta Nvidia Driver.
Nor disabling ingame Origin.
Nor does turning off PhyX.
Nor does deleting preferences.
Nor does anything else recommended in the four some threads about this error I've been making replies in and monitoring!
