For some reason, switching from Fullscreen to Borderless in the video settings helped me play four full rounds, whereas before I couldn't even play for 10 minutes straight without the sound looping freeze crash!
I don't know why and how this worked for me, this is more of a workaround than a real fix, it's worth a try though!
Borderless doesn't work for me ☹️ Still freezes.
And some crashes today (in addition to freezing).
