Could you please provide us some information about your system? It would help our community to find possible workarounds, if you could post your hardware specs as well as your Windows version and graphic driver built.

I am having this exact same issue as well.
i5-2500k
8gbram
GTX 580
Win 7 64bit
331.65 drivers.
hard lock with sound loop. Need to quit process in task manager.
Updated .NET and DX for the heck of it and it's still crashing
Win8 Pro
Intel i78GB memory
Nvidia 745m
