The upcoming PC game update will launch December 3, to coincide with the launch of the expansion pack Battlefield 4 China Rising for Premium members on all platforms.
The game update will start to roll out at 1AM PST/10AM UTC Dec 3, followed by the actual China Rising content around 2AM PST/11AM UTC. You can expect some downtime around these times as servers are being prepared to support this new content.
The change list for this PC game update is the same as previously announced (see below.)
As ususal, we will continue to iterate on stability and tweak the game based on your feedback. Stay tuned.
PC Game Update Notes
- Removed the blur effect on soldiers that appeared when Commanders were using EMP attacks
- Fixed the audio bug where audio sometimes randomly dropped out while playing on certain multiplayer maps (typically Golmud Railway and Hainan Resort)
- Fixed the "one-hit kill bug" where occasionally damage from a single bullet was applied multiple times
- Fixed a common crash that would occur when exiting from the Single Player Campaign to Main Menu
- Tweaked the network and computer performance screen to show proper values. Players can now test their computer and network connection and get recommendations if they need to adjust something to improve their gameplay experience.

Over 203 pages of this should tell the tale pretty clearly! I as many others spend a lot of money to have a PC with the requirements to play this game and I only see a black screen. I have done all the suggested advice with no fix. How can a company as big as this put a game out that DOES NOT WORK! I feel ripped off as only a few days after buying online a refund request was denied.
Calling American Express to dispute the charges to get my money back.

All my friends have the same issue. We have different systems and hardrware and are sufficiently adept at tweaking to know our sh*t.
I'm talking Win 7, Win 8.1, atis, nvidias, i5, athlons, quad core, 4, 8, 16 rams, beta, non beta drivers.
Yet we all crash like no tommorow. After the last patch it did become playable (except of few other maps) but recently (1-2 Dec), it did get more severe. We can't finish a game now.
For the time being we set to other games, to save our sanity, but it can't go on for much longer. EA hypes premium quality. Gameplay, Maps, Gfx - it all is good. I really enjoy the game. But the issues are breaking everthing to shreds.
I am an objective person, I am highly trained in critical thinking. Yet, I sense that day by day the subjective feeling of dissapointment is taking over slowly. ANd I don't like that.

On Friday I did a complete system reinstall, I put all the latest drivers and updates onto the system followed by Battlefield 4. I played BF4 on Saturday and was able to play for an hour before it crashed with the freeze and sound loop. However as of Sunday, despite making no changes to my system BF4 is no longer crashing, I played for 6 hours on Monday without a single crash, before the reinstall I was crashing every few rounds. I will put software back onto my system slowly to see if something I had installed before the format was conflicting with BF.
