I had this crash only once and I was able to find the error details in Event viewer and post it here. But more often my game just frozen up and I had sound loop issue... BF4 is using 50% of CPU and the only option is to kill the process via task manager. But in this case there is no log in event viewer and I can't post the error details.
There's at least 2 issues yeah. The stutter + sound loop doesn't crash to the desktop but keeps the BF4 process open (at least on windows 8, might be different on 7), while there are also reports of people that have their BF4 process just crash and disappear so that's probably a different one.
Then there's also the DirectX GetDeviceRemovedReason crash that's also been floating around since BF3. That one I've only had in SP however. In my case this one is caused by a videocard overclock (GTX460). Even the slighest overclock (couple Mhz) triggers this, go back to stock speeds and it's smooth sailing. Really odd.
As? are saying that the problem of "DirectX function" GetDeviceRemovedReason "failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" is caused by a video card that is already factory overclocked?
No solution for this?
