I can also confirm that the game still crashes (sound loop freeze) after the 9th December patch. Although, I was able to finish a full round of TDM on Paracel Storm which was impossible before the patch so maybe the crashes are not so often now.
PC specs:
Windows 7 x64
i5 3570k
8GB RAM
GTX 670

That's not a BF4 crash, but a Punkbuster kick, and therefor your issue isn't really related to this topic.
Have you tried pbsetup though?
