Same issue, but with Hardline. Play for 40 mins to an Hour before I crash. Event Viewer shows a Kernel-Power error which according to google may be caused by several things. I do not crash in any other games regardless of settings. I went to cash in on my 'Great Game Guarantee" since I cannot play the game, but that's voided 24 hours after you first launch the game (and I tried troubleshooting this for 3 days). I have updated my graphics drivers, my chipset drivers, and attempted several other housekeeping solutions to the Kernel-Power error that might be caused by windows, but to no avail.

Whatever the driver is that Nvidia released right after Hardline came out.

I've been running BF4 perfectly on Ultra for the 6 months. I downloaded the new nvidia driver (347.88) and now I'm getting the DX crash...can't even get into the game without it crashing unless I turn graphic settings down to medium or below. I've tried everything save underclocking my cards so the game still has issues. Same issues that Hardline is having so it is relevant.

Back to crashing as soon as I load a level AND click on the game window. If I leave it minimized (ie just taskbar icon) then it's fine until I open the window.
Had a similar issue a couple of months back but running 32 bit exe cured it. Now it happens in both 64bit and 32bit.
Tried repairing install.
Tried reinstalling PB.
Tried running as Admin (Origin and BF4).
All to no avail.
Running up to date video card drivers.
Nothing changed that I am aware of (inc video card drivers and windows updates) but I started seeing this issue at the weekend.
Any help from EA?
