BATTLEFIELD 4 KEEPS FREEZING (PC)

Battlefeild 4 freezes after a few minuets of playing, why?

Seem to spend more time looking for answers than playing the game.

    - try to play without any additional monitor/tv connected to ur notebook

    - check that game use the Nvidia GPU in "Program settings" tab set "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:" to "High-performance NVIDIA processor" (1, 2)

    - also if u use one display set "Multi-display/Mixed-GPU Acceleration" in nvidia driver to "Single Display Performance Mode" (when u connect additional monitor/tv try to set it to "Multi...");

    - also try to change "Power Management Mode" in ur game profile in video driver settings to "Prefer Maximum Performance".

    - - close\disable any Razer software, check and close\disable all programs like this

    - delete folder C:\Users\[User_name]\Documents\Battlefield 4\ (and don't change ingame video options such as "Display mode" - use Full screen)

    - run Origin as Admin, try to play...

    Firstly I must appologise for not providing this information:

    When I play on my laptop using its screen I do not have freeze issues. When I use my bigger monitor to play BF$ on is when it freezes. It is fine with BF1, NFS Rivals etc. Just has problems with BF4.

    My machine is setup correctly, I do not run anything on it at the moment as I am just getting the gaming side set. I will use another none gaming profile for other things. but, I did find a program I would not have expected to give me problems. Thank you for pointing out the Razor (gaming) software. I have un installed it and I am running fine again, even with VPN.

    Of course after playing for a while I remember why I dislike BF4 on the PC

    All the swapping me from side to side whilst in game. The mass of German servers compared to other countries.

    I preferred the XBOX360 because of this. I am now going to treat myself to a PS4 and use that for gaming. No more having to worry about other softwares, endless Nvidia updates and dropping shields for a game.

    No reflection on you chap, thanks for your help.

    Gaming is supposed to be about time out and relaxing, not this.
