Battlefield 4 Loadingscreen crash after activation of "Mantle"

Yo

After downloading the new 14.1 V1.6 beta drivers from AMD I completely uninstalled other AMD/ATI related drivers and programs.

Then I restarted the pc and installed the new drivers. After this was finished and the pc restarted again, I launched Battlefield to activate Mantle.

I activated it, and so now I had to restart Battlefield, so Mantle takes effect.

When starting Battlefield now, it just crashes in the loading screen. "Battlefield 4 has stopped working"

Error module name: mantle64.dll

I can get in game again, if i set BF4 to launch in x86 mode, but in x86 mode there is no mantle support.

What to do?

    C:\Users\URNAME\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings\PROFSAVE_profile

    Render.MantleEnabled 1 auf Render.MantleEnabled 0 setzen

    That helped !°!

yes but it disables mantle :D

  • I have the same problem when activating mantle. Installed the new catalyst 14.1 and I have an amd radeon r9 270x gfx card.

I get this when trying to load the game.

    "Battlefield 4 has stopped working"

    Error module name: mantle64.dll

Have to disable mantle to get the game running again.

    Same here.
i heard that the 7870 and the r9 270x are basically the same, so it might be a gpu related problem
  • I get the same thing with hd 7870. To fix it I had to go to document/bf4 then delete the settings folder. Had to redo my key maps, and other settings but it defaulted back to directx and got the game to open once again.

Editing in full specs so maybe it will help.
