Battlefield 4 multiplayer crash radeon hd 6870

Hi, i recently upgraded my graphics card from a Radeon hd 6670 to a Radeon hd 6870 with 1gb gddr5. I am having a problem which only occurs in battlefield 4 multiplayer, not single player. When I join a server i can play for about 2 minutes before I start to experience major stuttering and freezes, before the game eventually freezes completely and I have to close it down through task manager. No error message or anything indicating to what happened shows up. I then get a message on battle log saying i was kicked from the game. I have tried updating Punk Buster,  repairing the game and uninstalling and reinstalling my drivers (and removing my old drivers). Bear in mind that this doesn't happen in singleplayer. Single player runs fine. My drivers are also up-to date.

My specs CPU: Phenom II X4 965 Black edition 3.40ghz

                  RAM: 8gb ddr3

Graphics card: Radeon hd 6870 xfx 1gb gddr5

  •  I have seen windows be it win 7 or win 8.1 give bad formats ..  computers 3 around me at all times so I have done  many a format lol :] I have computer issues lol.

How are you doing your formats in Advanced mode or just the basic either one can give a bad format. The fact the scan cant fix your windows says its a bad format :[ To fully make BF4 good to go just my view but windows needs to be stable first. I hope your like me and d/l and save all new drivers in a folder with date on it on a usb stick lol makes **bleep** like this much faster.

When my windows was not stable the  only time I had any issues on my PC was in BF4 it made me crazy. But at the time I did not know my windows was  not stable :[  It was not until I looked at my windows closer and  found issues was I able to fix BF4. And if I recall correct I had do do a few formats in a row to get windows stable and no idea why :/

So your  choice but me I would get windows stable first / format and I hate typing that out to you as I know only to well the full pain to get windows stable / bad formats. And BTW you did nothing wrong in the format its windows. BTW if you intall windows again un plug the other hard drives when you do a format just to be safe. And if you use a SSD you have to unplug all other drives in your PC to install windows.

ps... And  when the time comes to do BF4 I would start with a clean install just to be safe. Keep me posted.

I do miss the days of a good clean Dos format :womansad:
