To answer question NO. And to end with a little debate, any game rated M should never have any type of filter on it.
I don't quite understand...are you saying that there should not be such an option? What would be wrong with giving such a choice? Search the web and you will find 100's of such requests or questions. MW3 & BO2 a very playable games with the filter turned on...it did not affect gameplay at all. But without it turned on the language was atrocious. It doesn't matter whether you fail to see the logic of it, it is simply people wanting the choice. The fact that the greatest selling games of all time provides it shows that there is a demand for it. Unfortunately, it seems that the option is not there for BF4 or for COD:Ghosts, for that matter. I played BF4 at a friend's house, and it is awesome...unfortunately the language was horrendous. Someone bought it for me for Christmas and I took it back....I can't play a game whose language I am unable to tolerate hearing...just the option to bleep it out or mute it out would be nice, but...oh well. Ghost's language is supposed to be much less offensive (like not having an F-bomb every 1-2 minutes)...maybe I'll buy that with the Walmart gift card I now have.

- 12 years agoI do believe that if you don't want bad language, you can go to audio settings and change the language, and turn the subtitles off. Although you may not understand orders in French... In multiplayer there is no reason for a filter as there is no swearing whatsoever as far as I can tell. Please let me know if this works for you.
