battlefield 4 xbox 360 controller issue

I play DA:1 perfectly on my PC with both a 360 and Xbox One controller, have you gone into your settings and switched your input method to the controller in the settings? I've never played an FPS on PC with a controller but I have friends who use them to fly, can you reset your keybindings to default and try to re-map them?.
yes, i have tried but not working. i even tried a different controller same issue. i have gone thru 3 different sessions with microsoft see if it was controller but no luck, then two sessions with ea and still nothing.. all i get is install this, uninstall that..... still on square one.
