Battlefield bad company 2 failed to connect to EA online

Yes, same for me. May be this is a problem with the servers?

  I have just had the same.
  It fgirst says "unable to connect", then when I retry it says disconnected, and something like y6oiu may already be logged in.
  I have tried changing my password, and connecting via Origin.
  There have been a few origin updates of late; is this connected?
