Battlefield Hardline Issues
I have decided to pick up Battlefield Hardline from Steam and it won't work. Even when trying to play from Origin it won't work. If I press play on either launcher I am taken to battlelog to find a server, once I found a server that I want to join and I have pressed "Join Server" multiple things can happen, #1, BFH launches into the news broadcast for the map your about to play on, after the news broadcaster stops talking BFH closes down and both Steam and Origin allows your to launch the game again, (both showing that BFH is not active.) #2, BFH is seen for a split second in the task bar but closes quickly after that, sometimes it stays open long enough for you to click on it but it will close afterwards. #3, The "Joining Server" tab at the bottom of the battlelog page turns red and says "Cannot launch Battlefield Hardline make sure it is up to date or that it is downloaded", after this message is shown and I look at Origin and select BFH in my game library instead of having the "Play" option it has "Download", when pressed the Punk Buster installer appears and I have to go through the Punk Buster installation again, I have been through the Punk Buster installation more than 10 times already. #4, #2 happens but the "Joining Server" tag stays on, after around 3 minutes of waiting "Game Not Starting" appears on my internet browser with battlelog still open, it says "We're sorry, it looks like your game didn't start properly. Please follow the steps below and try start the game after each one: Make sure all drivers are up to date, Restart Origin, Repair the game in Origin, Restart your computer". I have tried all of these and nothing works. I have looked through posts of other people on EA Answers with people who have had similar issues and I have tried the solutions posted there but nothing works. Any idea on how to fix this.
I appreciate you giving that a try.
What type of security software do you use on your PC? Have you checked to make sure there are exceptions for Origin and BF Hardline? There may still be something blocking the game from launching, and in a lot of cases that points to security programs.
