Battlefield Hardline Xbox One not connecting to Origin.

I rented BF Hardline for the Xbox One to see if I would want to buy it, but when I went to the multiplayer option a message popped up that told me I need an Origin account and asked me to make an Origin ID. I already have an account and I've tried everything to make it connect. I've tried logging in and out of Origin and Battlelog, I've hard reset my Xbox multiple times, restarted my router and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Yes my Microsoft e-mail and the e-mail I use for Origin are the same thing. I'm not sure if renting BF or owning it make a difference, but I'd really love some help for my problem.
