battlefield v low brightness

When I open the game, the colors are really washed out and the brightens is extremely dim< even with the in-game brightness all the way up and my monitor brightness all the way up. When I take a screenshot of my game and send it to someone, the screenshot sent looks exactly like the game is supposed to look. I have no idea why the screenshot looks great, but my game does not. This is a very frustrating problem, someone please help.

  • Have you tried switching to DX11 instead of 12? I know many people fixed issues by changing this.

I'm not too familiar with PC related issues but it's definitely not the game, but an output setting most likely on your monitor. I had this problem with my PS4 - I had HDR set to auto detect when it should have been turned off completely (4k tv but a regular PS4, not a pro) which makes me wonder if something is trying to upscale higher than it can handle.

  • I'm not sure if this will help you on PC but on Xbox you can change things like your Gamma settings, contrast, etc and what I also found was you can play around with the colourblind settings. For someone like myself that is colourblind this helps me but my friends that have seen my screenshots also think the colour difference is unique and have also used the colourblind settings which they also say helps with spotting targets, especially on maps like Sinai Desert and Suez which are very bright maps. Hope this gives you some more options to play with you may not have thought about otherwise
