Hi there Darkwine97
As this seems to be an issue with activation/having the system recognize your code you will likely need to contact EA Help to get further help with this as we cannot grant codes or help with activation here on the forums.
Considering this thread has been inactive for over a decade I will be closing it off now to prevent further necro posting. If you have any other issues or require any additional help feel free to create a new thread. - Darkwine972 months agoRising Newcomer
I have Battlefield 3 (physical edition with 2 DVDs and original key) activated for years on my EA account (formerly Origin). I recently reinstalled the game using the new EA App, and it appears normally in my library.
I can play the campaign, but when I try to start multiplayer via the browser (via Battlelog), a message appears saying that the game could not be activated and that I must enter the product key.
I am already using the same account that I activated the game with in the past, and BF3 was downloaded through it. Everything is installed correctly, but it seems that Battlelog is not recognizing the activation, as if it were another account.

Hello Guys.... Battlelog CTE are using same Battlelog Plugin as Normally Battlelog (http://battlelog.battlefield.com).... Check this fix... if your problem is not solved, let me know.
FIRST - UNINSTALL BATTLELOG PLUGIN
(CLOSE WEB BROWSER)
1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86) and remove folder Battlelog Web Plugins
2. Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features\Uninstall a Program and uninstall Battlelog Web PluginsSECOND - INSTALL BATTLELOG PLUGIN + ALLOW TO USE BATTLELOG PLUGIN
1. Go to http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4 and download Latest Plugin
2. Allow Battlelog Plugin in Web Browser.
For Mozilla Firefox:
Go to Addons (Firefox menu) -> Plugins
Search for ESN Sonar API OR/AND Battlelog Game Launcher
Set both to: always activated
Close firefox, start it again and it should be fine then
Log back into Battlelog via Origin (Play from Battlefield4 icon or Origin Games )
For Google Chrome:
In the search bar typing the following command: chrome://plugins
Checking the box Always allowed for ESN Sonar API OR/AND Battlelog Game Launcher
Close Google Chrome,
Log back into Battlelog via Origin (Play from Battlefield4 icon or Origin Games )
For Internet Explorer 11
From Internet Options/General tab -> Clear Browsing data -> Delete button
From Security tab, slide the bar to bottom -> Medium Protection
In Trusted Sites -> .battlefield.com should be added along with battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/ and battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/
It will require a System Restart in order for the 7 step to be applied.
Log in again into Battlelog and download again the plugin.
Join a server. - Can you save the plugin to your desktop, close the browser, run the plugin updater as an admin and then after it updates try playing?
I installed the CTE yesterday and I have the exact same problem, does anyone know how to fix this?
I am also having the same problem with this plugin, gets about 15% done and just ends, no error msg or anything.

That is not the current one (yet). It is the one released for Community Test Environment. Do not know
it this could bring up any version errors when starting a game outside it.
