Bayonet Charge (1 left)

On PC it works but not well, I have practiced and died 50 times to fulfill a metal challenge to get 5 bayonet kills with Assault.

Venting.

I now dislike ASSAULT class. Everywhere I turn someone killing me, I'm charging and a tank from 200 yards kills me (many times), I'm charging and an airplane kills me. I've lost count how many times I've died on this limited time frame to get 5 Bayonet kills.

To top it off it hurts the team because I've dropped everything to just get these last 3 bayonets with one left.  This game really stinks sometimes. Really wrank.

Your thoughts?

UPDATE: I got it! It was a major reward. But all of your advice was good. Thanks!

  • @2042onthemove In general, you do the challenges on the side, that doesn't really bother the other's game.
And there are quick and easy options for every challenge so that you can get it over with quickly.
There was also one that nerfed me, that was roadkill with an airplane.
  • @2042onthemovebrother focus on the match just go hard once you have a good chance to bayonet dont waste it.
    it's very easy.
use MP18 with bayonet charge and go hard.
the problem when you focus on assignments you feel its so hard but in regular you can do anything.

    just calm down and play

  • I don't get the vent. Bayonet charge is easy but not in every situation. So it's not game's fault for bad chosen charges. It's easy to counter a charge once you hear it, even easier if you see the guy before hearing the scream - you can even do corridas stuff, a side step and melee them in the back.

Try going for shorter charges or surprise ones(going in a building or smoke your way). And since you`re on PC, do you use the default "press F" key? I find it easier to have melee - press, bayonet - press & hold F

Bayonet charging is all about timing and accuracy.  Go into an empty server and practice over and over again.  Charge up and down the road.  Charge up and down hills.  Charge around obstacles, trees and buildings.  See how close you can get to obstacles without being hung up.  Charge repeatedly until you can do it smoothly.

Once you've got the mechanics of starting and controlling a charge, play in a real game  When in a real game, use your minimap to identify enemy red dots as potential victims for your charge.

  • Pick a map with trenches or plenty of cover for bayonet kills. Less chance of being sniped or nailed by an LMG from distance. Go as scout and use flares so you know when to charge before the enemy comes around a corner. Somme and Nivelle work well, as does Fort. Tahure also as it is in the dark.
